I really do like zpizza. I don't feel nasty and greasy after eating their food. My boyfriend chose to grab food from here last week and we knew it was a little on the pricey side, but it was a nice change from the regular fast food joints we usually go to when we go out. The nice thing was their lunch deal (which you can also have for dinner haha, they just didnt change the label). The deal is getting 3 items from their list for (I believe) $8.25, but with tax etc., it's still under $10 (I think), even when you add a drink for a dollar. Even so... it's still a good deal for what you get. So what do you get for the deal? Well, you can choose from slices of pizza (whatever they have), salads (3 kinds) and 1/2 sandwiches (3 kinds as well I think). So you can choose a variety from those, like 3 pizza slices, or 2 slices and a salad, or a slice, 1/2 a sandwich and a salad... So I ordered 2 slices (pepperoni and a nice veggie) and their pear and gorgonzola salad (which I am a big fan of). The boyfriend ordered 3 slices, no surprise. The food was great and the week after I went back to order just their the large size of the pear and gorgonzola salad! It was so yum!

I love thier pizzas! The Casablanca, Ham & Pinneapple, Napoli, ZBQ Chicken and THai CHicken are my faves. The people that work here are always really nice. Next time, I want to try their Rustica Flatbreads

Great pizza fast. That's all you need to know. But for more detail continue reading. This is a family owned and operated pizza shop with a handful of locations across Southern California. I frequent this location because it's just a few blocks from my house, but I've been to several other locations and the pizza and service are just as good. They use high quality ingredients, which is evident. The pizza is not greasy (e.g. cheap meat has high fat content which turns to grease when cooked), and the crust tastes like good crust should (cheap crust is made from highly bleached white flower where where the darker exterior of the grain is removed. It makes the pizza taste like cardboard!). Ever had Pizza Hut? Lastly, they use a roll-through oven (probably not the technical term... Any help here?) which allows them to cook the pizza quickly and consistently. When I call, they usually say 20 min. Just in time for dinner.

I ordered a half pepperoni, half Tuscan Take n Bake pizza. It was ready for pick up within 10 minutes. The restaurant itself is very small, with only maybe 4 tables for 4 people, but there is more seating outside in the courtyard area to the side of the strip mall it's on Taking off two stars for : 1. Taste and texture: Dough was eh...could be better. I'm not sure if I left it in the oven a minute too long, even though I followed the instructions on the box. The dough was too hard, and not the slightly chewy texture you would find on hand tossed pizzas. Also, there were too many caramelized onions on the Tuscan pizza, it overwhelmed the other toppings. I had to scrape off most of the onions. 2. Price: $16 for a large pizza, aprox 12 slices, including tax. Too pricey for my budget, but a reviewer previously stated that if you sign up for their newsletters, you can get deals and coupons. I will try that. Awarding 3 stars for: 1. Variety: They have TONS of toppings, including my favorite: artichoke! 2. Convenience: I love the fact that you can order online, even take n bakes! This is super convenient for on the go Moms like me! 3. Service with a smile: The kids in there were super nice and friendly. They greeted me as soon as I walked in and my pizza was ready in a flash.

This place is in the Aliso Viejo Town Center near Subway, The Habit, and the soon-to-open Luna Grill. I'd never been here before despite living in the area for three years but then, lo and behold, a coupon showed up in my mailbox and I figured, "Let's give it a shot." 12 hours later we've ordered food to go from a young lady at the register who gives me the feeling she'd rather be anywhere else but behind the register at this zpizza location. 10-12 minutes after that a kind gentleman - maybe the manager or owner - gives us our food. The pizza and Garlic Parmesan thingies are hot and fresh - the salad looks delious. We go. We're at home - we eat. Everything's good! I sure liked it. Overall, I'd probably come back here eventually - but I wouldn't make it a priority.

I rarely eat pizza, not because I don't like it but because I don't like it that much to stuff my face with so many calories and fat and stuff. But their business model works for me, their "good for you", "guilt free" pizza (this is my own loose translation) gets me to orders some now and then. The last time got a few slices for different people, including vegetarians who only had the cheese pizza slices. I like all of them enough to get over "not enough cheese or pepperoni slices" first impression. But that's how you can keep the calories at bay, so I'll OK that. Great for a quick, healthy enough meal on the run, but I'll definitely try the pasta and sandwiches next time, didn't even know they have so many options. Busy location, hard to find a seat or table, take it to go and enjoy it in your car or back at the office.

Z pizza is good! It is kind of expensive, but they have good, fresh ingredients. They have good gluten free crust, and good options to choose from.

Service was wonderful. The young lady behind the counter was very welcoming and was able to help me with all the questions I had with the menu. I could tell that you get what you pay for the pizza had a very fresh taste. My new lunch spot that I go to weekly

First let me say that I love z pizza but not this one! This will be the last time I go to the Aliso Viejo store. They never seem to get my order right!

I have been a loyal Z Pizza customer for 5 years. The food is amazing and I love that they have Vegan options. On top of great food, the service is and always has been A+. I've been coming here more often recently and the pretty girl with dimples is so pleasant and helpful when I want to try something different. I will definitely keep coming back.

This place is great. I've been here four or five times and it has really healthy options. The staff has always been friendly and never had a problem. The gentleman the delivers to our office named Hugo is extremely polite and is pleasant. I have no problems referring someone here and would recommend checking it out for lunch and dinner.

The pizza is ok IF they get your order right. The first time, no big issues and pizza was ok. 2nd time, the dough was actually raw and they had to send another...total 2 hours. 3rd time, my 10" pizza was decent but Greek salad had no Greek olives which are the best part of a Greek salad. Grrrrr....eating my salad right now with a puss on.

Very tasty and good amount of selection of pizza styles to choose from. Pricing is on the high end, but worth it if you want to skip the usual Domino's or Pizza hut.

This location is amazing! The food is great and the service is better. They always arrive for delivery in half the projected time and the order is always correct and the food is hot! The only time they ever forgot anything was a side of ranch (not a big deal) and the delivery guy left and brought us ranch plus a free cookie! Keep up the good work zpizza!

I used to order their Berkeley vegan specialized pizza with gluten free crust 2-3 times a month. The last few times I've ordered it, they have gotten my order wrong every time. They leave out toppings and don't cook the pizza properly. Today I decided to give them another chance and it was the worst ever. The crust was not cooked long enough and the cheese wasn't even melted. Again they forgot toppings and when I asked for them, they threw on a minimum amount and brought it back. So disappointing. This pizza is way too pricey to not be done properly. I'm done giving them chances. If you are ordering a specialty pizza, this is not the place to get it.

Thought there might actually be decent pizza in the OC....Not so much. I was not impressed with the Aliso Viejo shop at all. We didn't have time to order a full pie, so we opted for the pizza by the slice. Our order was missing two slices, and the girl behind the counter acted like it was an inconvenience to get them out of the case for us. It was not very fresh or very hot. I asked about getting it heated up, which they reluctantly did. And don't even think about asking for an ice water refill. It looks like ordering a full pizza and waiting for it to be made MAY be the way to go. And take it to go. Their eat-in service sucks. Lazy Laguna teenagers. Awesome.

I ordered to go as I was craving some good meatballs and pasta. It seems all the Italian places in Aliso Viejo use the same marinara sauce and meatballs for their food. The sauce is salty and needs flavor. The meatballs taste like bland sausage.I had a meatball sandwich and some penne with meatballs. I placed the order on line easily and it arrived within 20 minutes. The food was hot and made to order perfectly. The dessert I had was a vanilla cupcake was outstanding. The food itself was mediocre. The meatballs are ok at best. They tasted like sausage more then a fresh meatball. The sauce was fair. Very salty.

This was my first time eating at ZPizza and I really wasn't sure what to expect. I love eating green as much as possible but sometimes the flavores can be lacking. My dad and I ordered the ZBQ Chicken pizza with no peppers or onions. We love BBQ chicken pizzas so our expectations were pretty high. Well, it was the BOMB. I think next time I'll get no corn too cause I'm not a corn eater, but I can't wait to eat here again. As far as the service, we called in our order to pick up and not only was the girl employee super nice on the phone she was super nice when we got there. She told us our pizza would be ready in 15-20 mins and it was ready in 15. I'm sure during busy hours it would take a bit longer but we were eating at an off hour. All in all, a great experience. I'll be back.

Ok, I'll be honest. I do enjoy Zpizza and do regularly come here to get the gluten-free crust pepperoni pizza. It's delicious and relatively "healthy" (not really, but makes me feel a little better) There are some problems with Zpizza that I would like to address. THE PRICE and PORTION SIZES. This pizza is expensive, hands down. I understand that the quality of the ingredients might be "pure" but in no way does it justify a small gluten free pizza costing more than $10. Without tax mind you. Because this place offers a gluten free crust, I do come back but because of the price I refuse to come here on a weekly, even monthly basis. This pizza is also small, especially for what you pay for. And what is more bizarre? Their size chart begins at "small" then "large" and then "extra large". Where did the medium size go? Really. They do have coupons though that definitely help a bit with the pricing (B1G1 FREE small pizza), by taking a survey indicated on your receipt. Because of this coupon, Zpizza gets an extra star. Let me clarify that the pizza is delicious and definitely unique for artisan pizza fare. The sauce is robust, the cheese "cheesy", and the pepperoni smokey. It's just hard to justify more than $10 for a single small pizza. *Note: I understand I emphasized their gluten-free crust which adds cost to the pizza but even so, their pizzas are around $10 WITHOUT the GF crust upgrade.

Very average pizza at a high price. Domino's Pizza is better and less expensive, Porky's Pizza is Much Better at the same price.

  • Adam N.

Pretty good, but I feel like the pizza is always at least a few hours old. Ordered fresh it's really good, but apparently that's not really their thing here. It's more New York style where you walk in and order a slice.

  • Jay A.

Service is horrible... Cold pizza... Gal behind the counter was more worried about getting rid of me so she can chat with the cook in the back where they Left off. Manager was right there.. Useless. Perfect example of how to kill a good brand. Hire idiots.

I've been here a few times at lunch and gotten a slice from their rotating heat lamp box on the counter and I'm constantly dissapointed. It's overpriced and tastes pretty bland and bad. Granted it's probably been sitting in there for ages. Anyway, one day my work ordered a bunch of specialty pizza's from here and I was pretty blown away. Some pizza's I'd never even heard of, were all of a sudden becoming future cravings. I absolutely loved the Thai chicken pizza! I know that might sound a bit disgusting but I promise you it is delicious with it's semi spicy peanut sauce and veggies. I went at lunch today to order a personal Thai chicken pizza and I got it in a small. My husband ordered the BBQ chicken in a small and we both got large drinks (By the way, their idea of a Large drink is the same as a Medium at other establishments). The total price came to $25, not bad considering the small pizza's were both almost 10 inches across. Very tasty and filling. My husband loved the BBQ pizza and mine was even better than I remember. I definately recommend ordering a fresh pizza because it took less than 15 minutes and they are Sooooo much better than the old cardboard they have rotating in plain view which don't even earn 2 stars. By the way, this place is tiny and has no public restroom, you may want to order out.

I ordered a simple sausage pizza (see my photo). I am so sorry I did not look in the box until I got home. I thought for a second my wife had switched it out with a $1 frozen pizza just to screw with me. Unfortunately she did not. Enough said?

The Aliso Viejo location is merely a shell of its bigger, cheerier, and more competent older brother in Irvine. Let's get one thing straight, pizza should never be expensive . . . ESPECIALLY when the serving sizes are ridiculously small and the toppings are minimal at best. The AV Z Pizza is lacking in decent management. The coupons are the only thing making this place moderately acceptable and they almost never take them here. The place is a rip-off. Plain and simple. I can get a single slice back in NY for half the price, triple the size, and infinitely superior in taste. Organic, natural, or not . . . it's too much for pizza. I like the Irvine location (with coupon handy or on Tuesdays) but the Z Pizza in Aliso Viejo, comparatively speaking, is a horrible fu**ing shame. They should either clean house or lower the prices.

Pizza is good, but service is terrible! Every time I try to order for delivery they tell me to call the Dana point location, I'm 1.1 mile away. I call Dana point and they say I'm too far for them, I call them back and the guy says he's out of my range. It's a joke. Poor customer service. Now I won't go just bc the ppl their are lazy morons, why would I want to give them my money? I will go else where ... Hello whole foods pizza!

It's Tuesday! XL pizzas are 50% off! What a great deal! We arrived 15 minutes after we called in our order to pick up our piping hot pizzas. We ordered: TUSCAN (This had great gourmet ingredients. A pizza with roasted garlic sauce, caramelized onions, truffle oil, and an assortment of mushrooms. It all paired really well and made a great tasting pizza.) AMERICAN (This pizza had a well balanced ratio of mushrooms, pepperoni, bell pepper, red onions and sausage toppings) Both were delicious! The crust is nice and thin with just the right amount of sauce and fresh ingredients. The sauce itself was very good too. It must be the "certified organic tomato sauce" (advertised on the pizza box). I gave it four stars because the pizzas are pricey at full price. My recommendation is to take advantage of their 50% off XL Tuesday special!

In the past I have LOVED Z pizza. Their napoli pizza was a favorite. We ordered 4 slices the other evening and they pulled it out of their 'warmer' and it was close to cold and flavorless. I mentioned it to the employees and they responded with "Huh... that's weird... it's super fresh." That was all. I would say if you are going to eat there, at least try ordering a whole pizza and not doing it by the slice and then at least it will be fresh.

When I walk in I get the lunch special; slice salad and a drink. Love their Italian dressing.. mmm! Customer service is excellent. The delivery does take a bit longer than some places but they always get the order right and that is really what matters to me! You have to do 1/2 off Tuesdays!

I eat here once a week. I love their pizza's, especially the Tuscan. It always tastes fresh and delicious. Their salads are really top notch too. Their winter salad is really good that they are offering right now. And if it's just you eating, you have to try the Pear and gorgonzola Rustica pizza. Service is always good, but not great. That's probably why I don't give them 5 stars. Atmosphere, well, there is 3 tables and a TV. Take out is best! I highly recommend this place for a great place to grab some high quality, delicious food.

Horrible customer service. Slob looking manager just sits on his ass looking at his iphone. Teenage cashier never smiles with a dumb look on her face and doesn't even seem to know what ingredients are on what pizza. This location needs some serious attention. The walls and floor are dirty, the trash can looks like it's been through a war and the chairs are all sick and worn out looking. Pizza is just average tasting and extremely over priced.

Zpizza Aliso Viejo is by far the best pizza I have ever had in my entire life! I have lived in Aliso Viejo for the past 11 years and have eaten at this wonderful local jem since first moving to this city! We won't get pizza from anywhere else! My son has very severe food allergies and cannot tolerate most foods from restaurants. Zpizza Aliso Viejo seems to be the only food that he can eat out without busting into hives. So, he gets so excited when I tell him we are going down the hill for his favorite pizza! They even make gluten free dough and their cheese is real cheese...not the fake junky cheese you get from some other restaurants. Allergy Momma's...this is the place we have all been looking for! If you are in our wonderful city and looking for something good to eat..stop by this pizza place and enjoy some of their great eats! They even have Bogo nights on Tuesday, which is great if you have a large family like me! If you want daily specials they sometimes tweet them on twitter @zpizza_av

I love the Pizza here!! Possibly the best, if you like thing crust, pizza there is! The ingredients are fresh and it makes you feel like you really are eating healthy pizza (if there is such a thing). I usually get the California style pizza and always pick it up as the delivery can be a little slow at times. This pizza is a little pricy, but it is worth it.

I am tempted to replace "the" with "Z" in this entire review...but I'll spare you zis once. For chain pizza, Z is pretty high on my list. Considering that health-conscious pizza is as much of an oxymoron as "light mayonnaise," Z did provide some lower calorie options that I of course appreciated...as did the people who had to see me in my bikini at the beach later in the afternoon. This is the ever-present debate of "California Pizza" which again falls into the oxymoronic category according to pizza aficionados. But hey, I love veggies, and I love pizza - so no harm in throwing those sun-dried tomatoes, roasted peppers, eggplant, and little feta cheese on my pizza!

Since it was about 5 years ago that I moved to Irvine, I can't believe it took me this long to try Zpizza! I love that Zpizza is from sunny Southern California (Laguna Beach), and offers unique healthy, high quality ingredients. Just take a look at their menu and it's definitely not your average pizza store! (Who has capers on their pizza?? yum!) Besides the great variety of veggies, I love that the crust is thin and non greasy. Also, in addition to the standard Parmesan and dried chili pepper seeds, Zpizza has dried oregeno, garlic salt, and the pepper seeds in oil. Came during lunch hour with coworkers and tried these: 1) Napoli-roasted garlic sauce, mozzarella, tomatoes, Parmesan, fresh basil 2) Casablanca-roasted garlic sauce, mozzarella, ricotta, mushrooms, artichoke hearts, Parmesan 3) Provence- tomato and roasted garlic sauce, mozzarella, artichoke hearts, capers, tomatoes, fresh basil This was the first Zpizza I've been to, and I hope all the other Zpizza's are the same. At this location though, I only wish their pizza was a little hotter...we ordered over the phone, so I'm assuming it was freshly made, but when we got there it was not as hot as what I expected it should be. Prices aren't cheap, but on Tuesdays they have 1/2 off XL Pizza's :)

  • David E.

The best part of the place is that they have an organic focus (if you're into that kind of thing) so if you're in the mood for a healthy pie and can't afford the major hit to the midsection, this might work out. They have some fun ingredients (i.e. avocado, lime chicken, salami, caramelized onions, roasted eggplant, serrano chilies, truffle oil etc) that aren't on the normal pizza joint lists. It's still better than grocery store pizza, Dominoes, Little Caesars etc but you won't be writing home to Auntie Faustina about it.

This specific location is actually pretty small compared to all the other ones I've been to and seen. I love the pizza here, and I'll tell you why, but the reason this location gets just three stars is because the Arugula and Pear Salad we ordered came pretty subpar. The salad wasn't tossed for us, and the chicken we added additionally came in this huge chunks and it seemed like they just microwaved it before they gave it to us. EH. Anyway, the three stars goes to the Pizza itself. We ordered the half Tuscan and Half BBQ chicken. WOW. The crust here is amazing, and healthy too! It's whole wheat, nice and thin with a crispness to the edges and soft filling. The toppings were definitely fresh and topped generously. A large fed my friend and I very well. Gotta take advantage of their Tuesday BOGO free Large Pizzas. A-OK for the pizzas!

Wheat crust pizza is not just for granola-eating 420 bong jockeys like I thought when I saw it at Z Pizza for the first time 10 years ago. I actually like it. A lot. Top it with meatballs, grilled eggplant and artichoke hearts, and we're talking spike-my-grandmother-to-break-up-a-double-play good. Never had a bad pizza from Z Pizza. Well, actually there was that one time, but I think it was because it was on regular white crust and I was just pissed that I had forgotten to order the wheat. Also, I give them +1 for selling slices, and not just cheese and pepperoni, but slices with nice combo toppings as well.

    (4)
  • Richard B.

You can get the usual gut bomb suspects by the slice. The surface of the cheese pizza is awash in small pools of orange oils and grease--blistering hot to the tongue. The Italian Sausage and mushroom is a little better--works well if the crust is charred and blistered. Left in the heating window, they have an active shelf life of 20 minutes before the sauce gets soggy and bleeds into the crust. Putting them back into the oven does little to revive them. I usually pass, unless they are fresh out-of-the-oven and good-to-go. If you have 20 minutes, what makes Z Pizza special is that you can actually build a custom pizza with a lighter, more healthy outlook. Try the thin wheat crust pizza with artichokes and pine nuts.

SO i'm really surprised at all the 4 star reviews. I tried Z pizza with hopes that finally there would be some authentic pizza in this neighborhood. The website claims wood fired pizza, authentic, blah blah....we odered a napoli and a casablanca. Upon arrival after 15 min like they asked, the pizza was so cold! The tomatoes on the napoli were soggy, the dough was overbaked and there was definitely not enough basil. Most wood fired pizza i've had has been better. The crust is too thin. The casablanca pizza was pretty decent, that's what the two stars are for. The combo of ingredients is good and I had them add chicken sausage, which was a good addition. But again, cold and way too much big blotches of cold ricotta cheese. And i am not the only one here complaining about cold pizza, overcooked dough, overpriced menu. Some things are good, the original ingredients especially the chicken sausage and option for wheat crust. So I really wanted to like this place, I really did. But at $23 for two small pizzas,,,,,totally not worth it. I guess the hunt is back on for authentic pizza in this area. :(

Z Pizza may have saved my life yesterday. I don't think it would have done that any other day than yesterday aka "the longest day of my life." I moved from one apartment to another in the next building for 10 hours straight. Not exactly how I would want to spend my Sunday. Z Pizza was the other light at the end of the tunnel other than being done moving. We ordered a Tuscan LARGE pizza, and I ate four pieces before you could say "Dinner is here!!" Besides last night, Z Pizza as been our go to pizza here in Aliso Viejo. I love their Specialty pizzas, because they are so darn special. I have tried about 4 types of their pizza, and the Tuscan is to die for (even though it saved my life). It has two types of mushrooms, caramelized onions and a whole bunch of other good stuff. I have never eaten in, but there to go service is quick and the pizza is always hot. 4 stars in my book.

Z Pizza has been a favorite of mine for years. You can always count on delicious food and excellent customer service. Don't let the size of their restaurant fool you, their menu selection is actually quite large. There is truly something for everyone: salads, sandwiches, calzones, pizza and more. Everything is fresh and healthy. The staff is very friendly and courteous. I've been eating here for over ten years and have never had a bad meal or bad service.

Always liked Z Pizza, eat it once a week near work and would have indulged more in Long Beach but they did not deliver. Back in AV, this store delivers and they have been wonderful. Great pizza, delivered quick and with a smile. Will keep them on speed dial.

Service here is great. The manager really wants you to return. I saw him give a family two extra pieces of pizza just because one of the children wanted more but the mother wasn't willing to pay for it. The pizza is very good although the after-effects were a tad weird (maybe it's from the cheese they use). The prices are reasonable. From a business stand-point, the layout of the store and the way in which they advertise promotions is....confusing to the point where I was wondering how they could get business. In fact, I didn't notice they had any signs or circular pizza dishes until I sat down. Maybe, they should work on that? Anyways, I liked the pizza and I liked the service. It is not nearly as good as First Class Pizza but it's a great alternative to my Subway diet. :P

We don't live in the area but we were visiting friends in the area who just had a baby so we thought we'd bring dinner over. They didn't even know about this place but they easily fell in love with the pizza we brought over. I ordered one large pepperoni and one large napoli with wheat crust. Both were delish. The wheat crust was wonderful. I was afraid it would be too dry or tough but it was perfect...just like a regular crust. Our friends loved it too. They even said that they think they found their new pizza place. My husband loves the heavy, greasy, not-so-healthy kind of pizza but he ate z pizza happily and for once wasn't sick (because there was no grease to get sick off of!) The large does seem small but the quality of the product can't be beat. We also had a large salad and some cookies. The cookies looked good in the jar but they were dry and crumbly. And the salad was ok. Nothing spectacular. The pizza, however, very good. Flavorful, light-ish and both chewy and crisp at the same time.

I give this place props for sticking to what they believe in...fresh ingredients, high quality food and healthy options. I met the owner, Sid to chat about what really goes into ZPizza and he shared the secrets. You can find out more about what he shared at aroundalisoviejo.com . I love that the cheese comes from happy cows that are grass fed, the crust is made from organic whole wheat and they offer gluten free options. Freshly made is the way to go so you enjoy that ZPizza crunch in the crust and you experience the freshness. I do not recommend the already prepared pizza that you buy by the slice unless it is right out of the oven, Overall, these folks care about what goes into their bodies, so they give you good stuff to put into yours. Definitely worth a try!

All cheese and bread. Where is the tomato sauce? Who the hell makes a pizza without tomato sauce. It was walk into Ralphs and get Digiorno, or Z-pizza...I decided to splurge. Paid twice as much for a pizza that was dry and tasteless. There was noooooooooo tomato sauce. Cheese pizza...dough, tomato sauce, and cheese. How can you get that wrong? Realize times are tough, but really?

This is the best gourmet pizza I've had in a long time! Seriously. We got a coupon in the mail offering two "Rustica" pizzas for $14.99, so we tried them. I ordered the Pear & Gorgonzola pizza (the most unbelievably delicious thing I have ever eaten), and my husband ordered the Morrocan pizza with Chicken Sausage added. They were phenomenal. They even delivered! Had I written this review after my first experience, they would have received 5 stars. However, I loved the pear pizza soooo much that I called and ordered two more the next day (it's about $10 for one or $15 for two so I got two). The girl on the phone was really rude and tried to fight with me about the two for $15 deal. I told her I got a huge mailer that specifically outlined the special and that we had just ordered it the night before. She got all snotty and said, "Well, I haven't heard anything about it." Then she said, "Oh wait. The computer says the total is $14.99. I guess you're right." Well, when I went to pick up my pizzas, she goes, "Do you have the coupon?" I told her I didn't bring it since it came up on her computer. She got all mad and told me she needed the coupon or she would have to charge me full price. I got upset and told her it wasn't a coupon that you tear out but a huge flyer. She finally gave me my pizzas for the special price. Because of her rudeness, I deducted a star. Anyway, the food here is amazing. It's addicting. And the Rustica Pizzas are so great because they cut them into small square bites but one person can eat a whole one (I've done it...twice now!). Definitely go here and try the Pear & Gorgonzola pizza. Your taste buds will thank you.

My favorite local gluten free pizza! Especially since they deliver to my house!!

Gluten free crust is AMAZING! So yummy. Hubby is the one with the gluten allergy, but I always get the gluten free pizza because it's that good. Is a bit pricey for pizza though.

This is an extremely creative pizza joint that creates pizza like no other! They are not afraid to mix things that you swear were not mixable! Then add the fact that the stuff is fresh, the result is a soothing, tasty pizza that pleases your palate. This place delivers, too! For the type of pizza that comes out of there, it is shocking that they deliver because the stuff almost tastes gourmet! They do not hesitate to use onions, artichokes, spinach, and lower calorie options! That's because this is the OC baby, gotta rock the body!

I am utterly confused at all the high ratings that this Z pizza has. I've been to two other locations where I think they have much better quality pizza. This location is average at best. The first time I went for lunch, I went fairly early. It was around 11:30, so I am more forgiving that the pizza was lukewarm and greasy. It has definitely been sitting out for awhile. The last time that I went, I purposely waited until noon, figuring that they would have better turnover. Same experience. The small location doesn't help the dining experience, it has about 3 tables inside and another 3 outside. If you're looking for great pizza, go to Larocca's in San Clemente. It's much cheaper and definitely worth the drive. I promise.

Not a huge fan of Pizza in general just because its probably the worst food to eat on the planet! lol..but if you must, this is the place to go. The "California" and "ZBQ" pizzas are great, and their arugula salad, is fantastic!

I really love Z Pizza in Aliso Viejo... The cheese pizza is the bestest. Somehow it's better than all of the other Z Pizza's in Orange County. I order a whole large, and I can eat half of it by myself. The cheese tastes so buttery and savory, it always has the perfect amount of sauce, and the crust is thin, crisp, chewy, and slightly burnt on the edges...MMMM MMMM good. I save the other half for the next day because its even better cold. Love...

The pizza here is good, and fancy so you can feel good about yourself while you eat it.

I am not into the California pizza where they put weird things together. Basically a pizza should be a great crust, cheese and tomato sauce. And, well I always toss in the pepperoni and onions. So the first time I went to Z, I wondered just why all the rave. I learned that even my basic pizza was incredible. The pepperoni was delicious and the option for caramelized onions made this one of the best pizzas I ever have had. We just had a 14 inch pizza for three and a Greek salad. This works great for lunch when I get the personal sized... and throw in that free pizza coupon and you get a lunch for the price of the salad. I guess the thing that says it all is that there are never any leftovers. Drats!

We are religious Z pizza fans. Where else can you get a whole wheat pizza with sun-dried tomatoes and green peppers with organic cheese. This is my husbands weekly Friday night purchase. We are consistent...its a medium for him and a small for me and the kids. We hosted a party once and had 12 pizzas from there...all of their crazy varieties and everyone loved them and raved for days. Its our back pocket pizza place. Here are my gripes....first, they don't deliver to Laguna Hills...come on guys its closer then some places even within Aliso Viejo. second, the counter staff lacks humor. We are there every flippin weekend...could we be treated like regulars already. third, every 3rd time they over cook the bottom of our small pizza for the kids. So its best to ask them to undercook them a bit for the smalls. But overall, we love them and will be there next Friday again.

We just moved into the area and needed to find a great pizza place. We decided to try out Z Pizza and it was so delicious! We had the Napoli pizza and it was amazing. I loved the fresh sliced tomatos and basil with the mozzarella cheese. Plus it wasn't too greasy. Very yum and we will be coming back for more.

Not super authentic, but great if you are vegetarian (lots of choices) or want something healthier and they do have a pizza with vegan cheese and soy crumbles too (the Berkeley Soy Cheese Veggie)! My favorite: the arugula salad with grilled chicken and avocado added to it. There's toasted walnuts, ribbons of parmesan, and these amazing caramelized onions - I thought they were pears for a while because they're so sweet. The small is enough for two meals for me. Hubby's favorite: calzone, which is huge and oozing with lots of cheese and they give you extra sauce, too. You can pick the toppings inside. My toddler loves the Dippin' sticks (basically a pizza crust with olive oil and cheese baked on it that you dip into marinara sauce). It's sooo super good. All their pizzas come with the option of a wheat crust, which is very good and not very wheat-y or fiber-y...but just right. MMM!

Z Pizza in Aliso Viejo has consistent good service and the best pizza I have ever had. I love the new sandwiches they offer, and the creamy balsamic dressing is the greatest!

Z Pizza is great! All of their gourmet pizzas are wonderful. I am partial to the Moroccan. It has eggplant, pesto, feta, pine nuts, mozzarella... I think that's it. It's awesome. I also love their plain cheese pizza.

The pizza is a lot better than the typical chain pizza joints in the area. The only drawback is being overpriced for what it is. A lot of the other smaller/independent pizzerias in the area typically offer the same quality with a reasonable price.

Nice pizzas, fresh toppings--not too heavy. Their pizza is way better than other fast/delivery chains.

Okay. I live in Mission Viejo and ordered on line for delivery. When it wasn't here on time, I called. Turns out Aliso location doesn't deliver to Mission Viejo. Don't know manager's name but he is awesome. Totally apologized and offered to give it to us for free if we would pick up. Needless to say, we did!!! But, I promise you, I will forever promote them. Great PR gesture and I LOVE THEIR PIZZA!!!!

sometimes when i go to z pizza, i think i'm paying too much. but then i think about the drive to cruzer's and how it's a few dollars less, but also 50 miles away. i might just be lucky that my favorite pizza (margherita) is simple and doesn't require any mock meats. so glad z pizza carries daiya!

I firmly believe that the best pizza in the world is to be found in Brooklyn, NY. I'll stand by that until proven otherwise. However, for a different sort of pizza, but just as delicious in its own little way, Z pizza is Z best. With a menu of 15 different exotic pizza creations to choose from, you may have a little trouble deciding which to pick. Not only are the pizzas unique, but get this....they are healthy, too!! If you go to the website, it actually lists nutritional content by the slice. Impressive, right? If you have a big appetite, or you're eating with someone who doesn't fancy a slice, there's also a nice selection on Sandwiches, calzones, and yummy salads. My favourite pizza is the Casablanca. It has a thin and light bread like crust topped with homemade roasted garlic, mozzarella, ricotta, mushroom, artichoke hearts and parmesan. The ricotta is so good and gooey; it's like the savory version of cheesecake. The Thai pizza is supposedly quite popular well. So, if you have more of a gourmet food palette, but you enjoy the convenience of ordering pizza, then this a good place for you. They blow the likes of Pizza Hut out the window. I personally don't even feel the more popular California Kitchen compares. Oh, and something else great: Fast delivery! They come quicker than you expect. No time for a "quick shower" or doggy potty walk. Downside? Price. I ordered 1 medium last night, and paid over $20 with tip. They lose a star for not listing prices on the site or mailers. Try the Tuscan mushroom, and then review it so I know if it's good. ;)

The pizza here is great, I could eat a whole pizza up in about 3.5 seconds, the service is great, they allow phone orders, what makes this a 2 star is the price to quantity ratio, I usually get a large pizza to split between me and two other people, bottom line, its overpriced I pay around 20.00$ for a large pizza. Thats worse than pizza hut come on, and with a costco less than 5 minutes away, I'd rather go there, get a delicious pizza, about 3 times the size for 10 bucks and have food for a week. End of story, I only go here if someone else pays

I've always liked ZPizza, but I like it even more now. Have any of you tried the new Rustic style, or is it Rustica. Don't know. But what I DO know is that I like them. The Pear Gorgonzola is to die for! I know - sounds funky, but I crave it now.

their Hawaiian pizza is spectacular. I'm happy that they're opening up locations in the DC area so that I don't have to travel all the way to the west coast to enjoy these pizzas!

I like ZPizza, even though I always feel that they don't want me to use my coupons. Every once in a while they send out a free 10" pizza when you spend $5. The last time I went to use it the guy said, "So, did you just come in cause you had a coupon?" I said, "Mostly, yeah." What's wrong with that? Isn't the purpose of marketing to get customers who would not have otherwise entered the restaurant? Anyway, this time I had a coupon for $5 off their two rustica pizzas $15 deal. So I ordered the pear gorgonzola and chicken curry. The guy said it would be 15-20 minutes over the phone, but when I got there 20 minutes later, I still had to wait another 7. The pizzas were good: they have super thin crust and are more of an oblong shape and cut into small pieces. If you were having a dinner party, they would make nice canapes. Still, with the salad I made, 2 rusticas were enough to leave both my husband and I full and satisfied.

I have to give it to them, their pizza is good but they lack consistency which is important to me. They do have some interesting toppings and they do have some interesting crusts. I give it four stars for the lack of consistency and lack of service. The food is good but not great.
